AFROX VITEMAX 6013
The AFROX VITEMAX 6013 is a premium E6013 mild steel welding electrode known for its smooth arc, low spatter, and easy slag removal in all welding positions. It’s excellent for general-purpose welding, bridging gaps, and producing quality welds on various carbon manganese steels.
R320.00 – R1,500.00
The AFROX VITEMAX 6013 is a premium quality, rutile-coated mild steel welding electrode designed for general-purpose welding in all positions, including vertical down. It is known for its smooth, quiet arc action, low spatter loss, and good striking and restrike characteristics. A key feature is its excellent slag detachability, with the slag often being self-lifting.
This versatile electrode welds relatively cold, making it ideally suited for bridging large gaps where poor fit-up occurs and for tacking. It has a rapid burn-off rate and produces smooth welds in all positions. The deposited weld metal complies with radiographic quality to AWS A5.1 grade 1.
AFROX VITEMAX 6013 is recommended for welding a wide variety of carbon manganese steels having a carbon equivalent below 0.28%. It can also be used successfully in applications with higher carbon equivalents, provided the correct degree of preheat is applied.
